Austin Webb
Austin Webb was there at the Battle of Kettle Creek
according to his Revolutionary War Pension ( Claim W, 3902 ) Record from the
National Archives in Washington, D.C. It says he was a private in Captain
Joseph Nail's Company in Colonel Elijah Clark's Georgia Regiment. The pension
was allowed on November 19, 1832. Austin Webb was born February 14, 1757,
died July 31, 1839. He was the son of John Webb and brother of William,
Claiborne, John and Pleasent Webb.
John Burrel Webb
John Burrel Webb fought at Kettle Creek. He was a
private in Captain Joseph Nail's company of Colonel Elijah Clark's regiment. He
served from January 15, 1777 to April 26, 1779 when he was discharged. He
subsequently volunteered and served as a private in Captain Lindsey's company
of Colonel Clarke's regiment from July 10, 1780 to August 25, 1780. This data
comes from his pension claim, S.32005 which was approved on March 4, 1831 and
he was paid $80 per year until his death in 1841. Austin Webb and John Webb
were brothers.
